Action
The term action in poker can have several different meanings:
1) Action: check, bet or raise of previous bet.
2) Marking your turn to make a decision. Example - 'It’s your action' - your turn to make a decision
3) A player's desire to participate in more pots. Example - 'I need action' - I want to play many starting hands
4) A term, used to define how active is the specific game or hand. As a rule, it refers to a game/hand, which contained a lot of aggressive actions from opponents (bets, raises or check-raises)
5) Used to define the investments of one player into the game of another (buying shares). An example - 'I'll take half your action'.
